What Size Dance Floor Do I Need?
Choosing the right dance floor size depends on your guest count and how much space your venue allows. Here’s a general guide:
12×12 ft — $220 Best for intimate events of 50–75 guests, or larger events where dancing is secondary to dining. Fits comfortably in most backyard settings and smaller indoor venues.
15×15 ft — $345 Our most popular size. Works beautifully for events of 75–150 guests and is the standard size included in our Backyard Wedding Bundle. Gives a full court of quinceañera chambelanes plenty of room for the waltz presentation.
18×18 ft — $495 Best for larger events of 150+ guests, or any event where dancing is the primary activity. Gives ample room for a large quinceañera court, a live band, and open dancing simultaneously.

Frequently Asked Questions — White & Maple Checkered Dance Floor
Is setup included with the checkered dance floor rental?
Setup and assembly are included in the delivery fee, which is calculated based on distance from our Apache Junction warehouse. The base dance floor rental price does not include delivery or setup — those are added to your quote based on your venue location. The White & Maple checkered dance floor is not available for will-call pickup — delivery is required.
Do I need a subfloor if my event is on grass?
Yes — an additional subfloor is required when placing the dance floor on grass to ensure a stable, level surface. The subfloor rental is $75 and will be added to your quote automatically for grass installations. For concrete, pavers, or other hard surfaces, no subfloor is needed.
Can the checkered dance floor be set up outdoors?
Yes — our dance floors can be set up on concrete, pavers, or other hard surfaces without any additional equipment. For grass installations, an additional subfloor is required to keep the dance floor stable and level — this is an additional $75 added to your quote. If your venue has significantly uneven terrain, let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly. A terrain fee may also apply for challenging access or carry distances.
How far in advance should I book the checkered dance floor?
As our newest dance floor option, availability is currently open. However, dance floors are one of our most popular rentals and book up quickly during peak season (October, November, March, and April). We recommend booking as soon as your venue is confirmed.
Can I combine the checkered dance floor with your standard dance floor for a larger space?
Yes — our White & Maple checkered floor and standard dance floor panels use the same system, so they can be combined to create larger or custom configurations. If you need a size larger than our standard 18×18 or a custom layout, contact us and we’ll work with you to design the right setup for your venue.
What is the delivery fee for the dance floor?
Delivery fees are calculated based on distance from our Apache Junction warehouse. Setup is always included — there is no separate setup fee for the dance floor. Contact us for a full quote including delivery for your specific location.
Is the White & Maple checkered floor the same as a black and white checkered floor?
No — our White & Maple floor uses warm dark maple panels alternating with white panels, rather than black and white. The maple tone is warmer and more versatile than black, complementing natural wood decor beautifully. If you’re looking specifically for a black and white checkered dance floor, contact us and we’ll let you know what’s available.
