Perks of an Arizona Desert Wedding

Arizona is known for its gorgeous deserts and incredible sunsets. It’s no wonder couples travel from all over the country – sometimes all over the world – to get married here! Since you can really take advantage of the outdoors in Arizona, many of our couples are looking for rentals that can work for a wedding under the stars. When it comes to Arizona, a desert wedding is best!

Perks of an Arizona Desert Wedding

Beautiful landscapes

From cactuses to mountain views, whatever you’re looking for, Arizona can give it to you. The desert’s unique terrain just provides you with a beautiful background and tons of photo opportunities. For example, east of Phoenix, the Superstition Mountains are a popular backdrop because of the distinctive rocky peaks.

Not to mention, you don’t need to put as much into decoration. Your backdrop is already so gorgeous that you can get away with simple décor. This saves you money without you having to sacrifice beauty.

Intimate and secluded locations

Whether it’s a private estate or a local venue, there are plenty of options for that couple who wants a private wedding. Arizona has nearly endless venue options. You can find remote possibilities that are intimate if that’s the feeling you want for your desert wedding.

Warm colors

With such a gorgeous backdrop, many couples chose shades of white, cream, and orange for their flowers. Don’t forget to incorporate greenery into your desert wedding! Greenery is a great idea because it can withstand the Arizona heat.

Open space

Though it might seem a little intimidating, open space really means you can put your own stamp on your wedding. You aren’t limited by space, so you have the opportunity to incorporate whatever you want. Not to mention, open space makes for a beautiful lighting job!

Beautiful sunsets

Our sunsets are said to be some of the most beautiful in the world! They are bold and colorful, so they make for some stunning portraits. The perfect wedding ceremony time is about one hour before sunset, so you can maximize your pictures after. There’s nothing better than a beautiful sunset over the desert, and your pictures will show it!

Opportunity for rustic and bohemian weddings

Desert weddings already have a more free-spirited feel, so it’s a great option for bohemian, rustic, and more laidback weddings. Right now, in Arizona, these types of weddings are more popular than fancy and more formal weddings. This makes sense because a desert wedding really lends itself to a more laidback style.

Real Desert Weddings

The Liebel Wedding

This couple wanted a wedding that was bohemian and relaxed, which is why they opted for a desert wedding. The gorgeous Arizona desert made for the perfect backdrop! They said “I do” with a large cactus behind them and our classic arch. To add a touch of boho, they had handmade dream catchers hanging among the flowers on the arch.

Keeping with the bohemian and rustic theme, they used our farm tables, wooden benches, and lots of lace. They also opted for a sweetheart table for themselves. For a little bit of color, they had jade dessert platters, lots of greenery and eucalyptus, and green desserts. They picked out our beverage dispensers with our white accent buffet table, and it looked perfect.

One thing people often forget about when it comes to Arizona weddings is that it does get cold at night in the winter and fall! So, this prepared couple rented our outdoor heaters to ensure guests stayed warm.

The Haskins Wedding

This couple wanted a casual and rustic wedding too, and they chose a venue that came with endless Arizona skies. With those incredible views, the venue needed little décor, so the couple chose lots of baby breath and white flowers. Their arch was simply decorated so as to highlight the sky behind them, and our fruitwood chairs looked great in the ceremony space. They chose to incorporate those perfect rustic touches like our wine barrels. Just like the Liebels, they also chose to go with our farm tables and benches, another classic rustic element. Plus, they didn’t forget the dance floor!
